The first novelist to win the Costa Book of the Year prize TWICE, Sebastian Barry, has been nominated as the new Laureate for Irish Fiction 2018-2021.  He succeeds the wonderful Anne Enright.

Whether mid-air on a long-haul flight, at the beach or at home in the garden I hope you’ll enjoy the Recommended Reading Summer 2017 – Fiction and Non Fiction I’ve selected to appeal to 12-18 year olds.  It comprising a wide variety of genre – contemporary fiction, horror, love stories, mystery and detective stories and my favourite – historical fiction.  All are available in the St. Andrew’s College Library.
